Here's the description from the Minnesota Historical Society's catalog:

Correspondence, legal documents, and business papers of this lawyer and real estate dealer who settled in St. Anthony (Minn.) in 1857 and acted as agent for Abraham Becker, a banker and broker of South Worcester, New York. The papers relate largely to land transactions in New York, to Crowe's land holdings in Minnesota, and to land which he located for others. Included are letters from Benjamin F. Daggett, George E. H. Day's banking house, Daniel S. B. Johnston, Orlando C. Merriman, and other persons regarding lumbering at Little Falls, a sawmill at St. Cloud, a flour mill at Eden Prairie, the proposed union of St. Anthony and Minneapolis (1866), public opinion during the Civil War, and cotton raising in Mississippi.
