MARRIAGE: Was Ann Price first married to Thomas Williams? The graveyard at Pen-yr-Heol Baptist Meeting House near Glasbury, Brecon, has the following inscriptions, all on one stone:
In the memory of Hannah daughter of Thomas Morgan ??? in the parish of Llanigon. She departed this life February the 9th 1796 age 3 years.
In the memory of William son of Thomas Williams by Ann his wife who departed this life April the 26th 1795 age 13 years late of Cwingyn Fair (I had to take a guess at the spelling of Cwingyn Fair see below.) There is a Welsh word Cwningen which means rabbit but no Fair the stone was quite weathered by this/these word. See message of 7 July 2004 from Karen Tandy to Rick Crume.

The book says that Evan Jones (1788-1872) visited his "aged, sick mother" in Philadelphia in 1846, in July or Aug 1852 and in Feb 1859. An examination of his letters on microfilm from the American Baptist Historical Society shows that Evan mentioned his mother's name and address in an 1846 letter. Other letters show that he visited Philadelphia in 1852 and 1859, but on these dates he does not actually mention his mother or other relatives.
