Could the older son be Daniel Crume? An Eliz.a Broocks, age 19 or 22, was living in the same parish with John Frizell and wife.

BIOGRAPHY: Letter from William R Langford, Phoenix, AZ, to Rick Crume, Glyndon, MN; 1700-1735; Letter dtd 18 Jul 1976; ; (Rick Crume's file #C 37); NOTE: Daniel Crome settled on 414 acres on Bull Run in Prince William Co., VA. He and his wife, Elizabeth Brooks, may have had 3 children: Daniel, who inherited the Bull Run Farm; Philip I.; and Elizabeth, who married William Forman. Daniel and Elizabeth are said to have had a large family.

BIOGRAPHY: Mrs H M McAdams, "Descendants of Daniel Crume"; 1710-1939; Typed manuscript; p 1; Library of Congress, Call No SC71 C9485 1960a (Rick Crume's file #C 088A); NOTE: "Daniel Crume came from Scotland about 1710 and settled in Frederick Co., VA. It is thought that he returned to Scotland to settle an old estate (probably lost at sea). He was never heard from. Years later the Battle of Bull Run was fought near his homestead. He married Elizabeth Brooks and had a large family. He left his son, Philip Crume, who with his sons, lived in Shenandoah Co., VA 1783-1785 (according to VA 1790 census)."

He was a Quaker and held the office of Deputy Treasurer of the free society of trades. He was a Justice of the first court of Chester County, Pennsylvania. His son, Thomas Withers married Elizabeth Collett and died in 1720." Perhaps this Ralph Withers was an ancestor of Ralph Withers of Orange Co./Frederick Co., VA.

He was married four times and lived to be 108 years old! By this wife he had 12 children."
