BROWN, Peter, Plymouth, came in the Mayflower, 1620, married two wives
and had two children by each, says Gov. Bradford. First wife may have
been the widow FORD who had come in the Fortune 1621. At the division
of cattle, 1627, has association with him Martha and Mary, perhaps wife
and daughter. He is somewhere called brother of John of Plymouth and
both lived on Duxbury side. He died 1633, and Standish and Brewster took
his investory 10 Oct of that year.

SIMMONS, SYMONS, SIMONES, or SYMONDSON, Moses, Plymouth, one of the first
comers, arrived in the Fortune, 1621, born at Leyden, and bearing the Dutch
name of SYMONSON or SIMONSON, but early shortened his name to the first
two syllables; probably brought wife, but no child is known except Moses,
and Thomas, who may both have been born here. He settled at Duxbury, was
one of the original purchasers of Dartmouth and proprietors of Bridgewater,
and of Middleborough, but did not remove to either.
