Both arrived recently from London." (Translation from the German.)

LAND: Land patent dtd 6 Jul 1799; 1799; Lancaster Co, PA patents, bk 34; p 515; PA State Archives, Harrisburg, PA (Rick Crume's file #C 645); NOTE: Samuel Jacobs was granted 98 1/2 acres by a warrant dated 12 Apr 1791. By a deed dated 18 Mar 1798 he conveyed the land to Tobias Shaubhut who paid 2 pounds 15 shillings and 3 pence to the Commonwealth of PA. Land described as a wheat field in Rapho Twp, adjacent to land of: 1) Benjamin Bonder decd, 2) Thomas Hampton, 3) late of Peter Grubb and 4) John Shaira.

LAND: Deed of sale, Tobias Shaubhut & his wife Mary of Rapho Twp to Martin Gross, Sr of Warwick Twp, dtd 20 Jul 1799; 1799; Lancaster Co, PA deed bk E, vol 3; p 557; FHL film 0021406 (Rick Crume's file #C 478); NOTE: 34 3/4 acres in Rapho Twp, adjacent to lands of Thomas Hampton, John Close, Henry B Grubb and other lands of Tobias Shaubhut. It was part of a larger tract of 98 1/2 acres called Wheat Field which the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by Patent dated 6 Jul 1799 granted to Tobias Shaubhut (Patent bk 34, p 515). Witnessed by Adam Nees & Sam Ensminger.

LAND: Tobias Shaubhut & his wife Maria of Rapho Twp to Solomon Longenecker of Warwick Twp, dtd 18 Jun 1803; 1803; Lancaster Co, PA deed bk M, vol 12; pp 214-215; Office of Records & Archives Services, Lancaster, PA (Rick Crume's file #C 525); NOTE: 54 acres in Rapho Twp, adjacent to land of Benjamin Bender, Thomas Hampton, Martin Gross, Robert Coleman and (no first name) Grubb, John Sherer. It was part of land which the Commonwealth of PA granted to Tobias Shaubhut by a Patent dated 6 Jul 1799 (Patent bk 34, p 515). Witnessed by Samuel & Mary Ensminger.

Krankheit: mit zehrendem, hitzigem Fieber." (Tobias Schaubhut, from Eichen near Durlach, died 19 October, buried 21 October, age 41 years 1 month 1 day. Sickness: with debilitating, hot fever).

LAND: Deed of sale, George Gross & his wife Elizabeth of Warwick Twp to John Gross, Innkeeper of Cocalico Twp, dated 8 Oct 1807; 1807; Lancaster Co, PA deed bk M, vol 12; p 216; Office of Records & Archives Services, Lancaster, PA (Rick Crume's file #C 525); NOTE: 18 1/2 acres in Rapho Twp adjacent to lands of Solomon Longenecker, George Gross & Henry B Grubb. It is part of a larger tract of land which Tobias Shaubhood and his wife Mary transferred to Martin Gross by deed dated 20 Jul 1799. The said Martin Gross and his wife Christina granted the same to their two sons George & John Gross in 1801. John Gross and his wife Mary then transferred their portion to George Gross.
