By a deed dated 18 Mar 1798 he conveyed the land to Tobias Shaubhut who paid 2 pounds 15 shillings and 3 pence to the Commonwealth of PA. Land described as a wheat field in Rapho Twp, adjacent to land of: 1) Benjamin Bonder decd, 2) Thomas Hampton, 3) late of Peter Grubb and 4) John Shaira.

It was part of a larger tract of 98 1/2 acres called Wheat Field which the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by Patent dated 6 Jul 1799 granted to Tobias Shaubhut (Patent bk 34, p 515). The said Martin Gross and his wife Christina granted the same to their two sons George & John Gross in 1801. John Gross and his wife Mary then transferred their portion to George Gross.
